Our worktops are manufactured locally, so you’ll always have peace of mind knowing the product is readily available and technical support is a phone call away.

How it’s made

A Formica® decorative surface is bonded to a SupaWood® core, after which, the LifeSeal® strip is applied to the underside of the postform edge, producing a hardwearing, durable and dependable worktop.

The LifeSeal® strip stops water from seeping into the SupaWood® core, reducing the risk of swelling and delamination. This helps keep your surface solution functional and looking good for a long time.

PG Bison’s locally produced Formica® LifeSeal® Worktops offer a modern design aesthetic with a range of styles to choose from, whether you’re looking for a textured or gloss finish. Plus, they’re a much more affordable option than other countertop materials.

Using Formica Lifeseal Worktops

With its wear-, scuff-, impact-, stain- and moisture-resistant surface properties, Formica® LifeSeal® is ideal for medium- to heavy-duty horizontal applications, such as kitchen and workspace areas.

During installation, all exposed edges of the worktop must be sealed with a suitable sealant to protect the SupaWood® core from moisture, including the back edges where the worktop meets the wall, butt joints at the corners or breakfast nooks and cut-outs for sinks and stovetops. Various products can be used, such as marine varnish, enamel paint or other suitable sealants.

The sealant should be applied so that it adequately covers all exposed surfaces. It’s best to apply two coats and let each one dry properly. By sealing the edges properly, there is very little risk of water seeping into the core, which will keep the worktops looking great for many years. Other than sealing the edges, Formica® LifeSeal® needs no additional surface maintenance, apart from regular cleaning.

Luxora Premium worktops

FIND THE BEAUTY WITHIN.

There are those who have come to realise that real beauty is more than skin deep. For them, we’ve created Luxora™.

Luxora™ is PG Bison’s premium range of luxury worktops that combine beautiful, hardwearing laminates with our distinctive NobleCore™ substrate in a double-face construction. The contemporary worktop surfaces are flat-bonded to the substrate, ensuring all four black edges of the NobleCore™ panel are visible.

NobleCore™, a rich black, high-density MDF, can be machined and shaped by CNC, spindle or router, giving you the flexibility to shape the edges, and the worktop panel itself, as you like.

Luxora™ is perfect for slimline worksurfaces, with either a straight or organically shaped leading edge, in kitchens, living areas, offices and shopfitting applications.

The worktop’s exposed black edges are a key feature and give you the freedom to mould them into a profile of your choice.

Although NobleCore™ substrate is made using moisture resistant (MR) resin, it is best to seal the edges as per our guidelines, for it to better stand up to the daily demands of living and working spaces.
